VimpelCom extends SMS traffic control with Openmind

VimpelCom is expanding its use of Openmind’s SMS traffic control solution in Moscow and Central Russia.

Operating as Beeline TM, VimpelCom is extending its deployment of Openmind’s Traffic Control Mobile Messaging Platform to support SMS traffic during normal and peak periods. The operator also intends to use Traffic Control for SMS traffic on its network at non-peak times.

Andrey Klimov, head of service network development department of VimpelCom, said: “The new high-performance and very flexible SMS Infrastructure from Openmind allows us to implement new services much faster and more cost effectively.”
