Saudi’s ACES announces 5G and 6G partnership with Movandi

Saudi Arabian technology group Advanced Communications and Electronic Systems Company (ACES) and Movandi, a semiconductor and systems connectivity company powering intelligent wireless infrastructure, have announced a strategic partnership.

ACES is a Saudi-licensed digital infrastructure and neutral-host company providing in-building solutions, Wi-Fi, distributed antenna systems, fibre optic networks, data centres and managed services.

Formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during the technology and innovation event LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, the partnership aims to advance the development, validation and commercialisation of next-generation 5G and future 6G wireless technologies.

The collaboration combines ACES’ local R&D capabilities in local development of 5G small cells, open RAN, RF front-end and antenna technologies, digital platforms and next-generation 5G and 6G systems with Movandi’s mmWave RF, antenna, beamforming and semiconductor technologies. Together, the companies aim to advance the development, validation and commercialisation of mmWave connectivity, O-RAN, small cells and advanced RF technologies.

Maryam Rofougaran, CEO and co-founder of Movandi, explains: “Movandi’s technology has already been proven through commercial and trial deployments in North America and Asia. By combining our mmWave, RFIC and beamforming expertise with ACES’ market presence, integration capabilities and deployment experience, we see a significant opportunity to accelerate advanced wireless infrastructure across Saudi Arabia and the region.”

Under the partnership, ACES and Movandi plan to collaborate across mmWave and RF front-end technologies for high-capacity, low-latency wireless connectivity; 5G, future 6G and O-RAN architectures, including indoor and outdoor small cells; joint R&D, field validation and proof-of-concept deployments; and commercialisation and business development across Saudi Arabia, the broader Middle East and global markets.

The partners say that the agreement provides Movandi with a regional platform to validate and scale its wireless technologies while expanding ACES’ ability to deliver advanced mmWave and O-RAN solutions to operators and enterprises across Saudi Arabia and the region, supporting digital infrastructure goals aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
