Convergys Corporation believed it was equal to the specification of providing product, consulting, and professional services to implement and integrate a new billing solution to support Metronet, especially when set against the demands of complex triple play billing, a speedy timetable for introducing new services, and rapid customer growth in a newly deregulated telecom market. In just five months, a Convergys solution has gone live, a far quicker timescale than might normally be expected.
Infinys, Convergys' convergent business support system software, was integrated with Metronet's order management and customer relationship management systems using Infinys' public application programme interfaces. In addition to implementing Infinys, Convergys configured and developed a bill post-processor to serve as an interface process from bill generation to bill fulfilment.
