Airtel Rwanda announced on Tuesday it has launched Airtel IQ, a Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) offering for enterprises that integrates multiple real-time customer communication channels into existing applications and workflows.
The Airtel IQ service enables omnichannel messaging by combining SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and voice communications onto one platform, delivering instant, secure OTPs, transaction alerts and critical notifications automatically.
Airtel Rwanda said the service also sports advanced analytics, enabling it to track delivery rates and monitor campaign performance in real time with intuitive dashboards. It can also scale reliably by leveraging Airtel’s secure cloud-native network.
Bharti Airtel – which owns the majority of Airtel Rwanda’s parent firm Airtel Africa – launched a similar service in India earlier this month.
Bharti Airtel said the service addresses the challenges of running multiple customer channels – such as managing fragmented customer communication stacks across multiple service providers and tools, and limited visibility into the real delivery of messages – by providing a single management point for everything.
