Telekom Srbija has secured a $50 million loan from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) to support the expansion of its 5G network across Serbia.
The operator launched commercial 5G services in December 2025 with backing from EXIM and is targeting coverage across all Serbian cities by the end of 2026, with nationwide coverage planned for 2027.
Telekom Srbija said the financing will be used for equipment and software sourced from US technology companies, highlighting the operator’s long-standing ties with American financial and technology partners.
Group CEO Vladimir Lucic described the agreement as a major milestone for both Telekom Srbija and the wider Western Balkans region, adding that the funding would help accelerate next-generation digital infrastructure deployment.
The operator recently reported strong full-year 2025 results, with revenue rising 28% to €2.3 billion and adjusted EBITDA increasing 51% to €1.3 billion.
Telekom Srbija has also returned to international capital markets with a new bond offering following its inaugural $900 million Eurobond, which became the first corporate Eurobond issued from the Western Balkans and later won Europe Telecom Deal of the Year for Financing at the TMT Finance Awards EMEA 2026.
